At DeSantAna Contractors, we take immense pride in our ability to deliver top-notch construction services tailored to our clients’ unique needs. One such project is the comprehensive renovation we undertook for Beverly at West Thurston Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53209. Initially hesitant, Beverly was won over by our lead handyman Sam, whose weekend site visit provided the assurance she needed to move forward.

This project encompassed a broad range of tasks, each demanding a high level of expertise and attention to detail. Our team began by removing and replacing the existing gutter system, installing 5-inch gutters with 3×4-inch downspouts, complete with a hinge to ensure the downspout did not obstruct the walkway. We also installed metal gutter guards to enhance the durability and functionality of the new gutters. Additionally, the soffit and gutters were meticulously wrapped to match the existing installation, maintaining a seamless aesthetic.

Beyond the gutter work, the project included extensive carpentry tasks. We replaced an old door with a new window, which involved the removal of doors and molding, railing, and the installation of new framing, plywood, insulation, a moisture barrier, drywall, baseboard, trim, and paint to match the existing decor. This was not merely a replacement but a complete transformation designed to improve the functionality and appearance of Beverly’s home. We also addressed issues with Beverly’s flat roof by identifying and stopping leaks, replacing damaged wood, detaching and resetting railings, and disposing of debris to ensure the roof was both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

Our work on the sunroom was particularly transformative. We removed old paneling and screens, framed new structures, and installed one door, two sliding windows, two picture windows, one long window, and vinyl siding with wrap. Each step was executed with precision to ensure the new installations integrated seamlessly with the existing structure. Additionally, we tackled the kitchen windows, removing the old ones and installing new, framed windows with a finished interior, including mud and paint, siding, and wrapped windows for a polished look. Finally, we installed a smart lock on the sunroom interior door, further enhancing the security and convenience of Beverly’s home.

Each aspect of this comprehensive project was executed with the utmost care and expertise, reflecting our commitment to excellence. One such project was the complete bathroom remodel we undertook for Allen at Sunnyside Dr, Burlington, Wisconsin 53105. With a keen eye for detail and a clear vision of luxury, Allen wanted to revamp his bathroom, focusing on both the wet and dry areas to achieve a seamless and elegant transformation. He emphasized, “I want to ensure everything is perfect, from the flush flooring transitions to the no-metal finish details.”

Moving to the dry area, we took great care to ensure the flooring transition was flush with ⅛ of grout or less, maintaining a smooth and even surface. The dry tile was laid in a herringbone pattern, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication. To match the height of the hallway, the subflooring was redone, ensuring a seamless transition between spaces. The installation of a vanity and two medicine cabinets provided ample storage and functionality. We also installed two sink hardware sets, enhancing the bathroom’s utility and style. The toilet area received special attention with wainscoting installation and painting, along with top and baseboards to complete the look. Trim work on two doors and the installation of five grab bars were carried out with precision, ensuring both safety and aesthetic appeal.

Throughout the 12-day project, our dedicated team of 3 to 5 professionals worked tirelessly to bring Allen’s vision to life. With all materials provided by the customer, we ensured that every detail was executed to perfection.
